Hi. My name is David Llorens and I work for Next Energy Solar. I believe San Francisco is THE CITY that can show the rest of the United States what can be done with respect to renewable energy. Progressive citizens, progressive politics, this new subsidy, and a glut of flat, sunny roofs gives us the chance to turn San Francisco into its own power plant.
I work with McKenzie Sokol and Bob Farschi at the Green Home Center at 1812 Polk Street in San Francisco, near the Bell Tower and Lombardi Sports. Come and have lunch with us.
If you just want to talk about anything solar, call me at 888-786-2384 or email me

I’m interested in the bottom line of more solar on more roofs, and whatever it takes to get there.
- I also started the blog www.solarpowerrocks.com with my friend Dan Hahn to get people excited about the subsidies in their area.
- I wrote this site www.sfsolarsubsidy.com to help keep SF citizens informed on the solar programs here in SF and to help lobby for action when the time calls. I have high hopes for the idea of “community purchases” of solar in SF.
- I’m just starting to work on www.berkeleysolarprogram.com with friends in my office to keep Berkeley excited and up to date on that program.
- My personal site is www.davidllorens.com, but it’s a hot mess right now - come back later :-)
- I presented at Eco Career Day at Crissy Field - My favorite advice to high school kids was “If your high school has a class on how to build and promote a website, TAKE IT!”
If you would like me to come out to your home or business to evaluate it for solar energy, please fill out this form:
Update: I’m glad this thing finally passed and I don’t have to drive my crappy cargo van around trying to get the word out anymore. Speaking of which, if you are interested in a crappy cargo van, please call or email me.
Thanks for reading!
Sincerely,
David Llorens
